I've been writing and editing professionally for most of my adult life. I've written software instruction manuals, marketing and advertising copy, and public relations materials. Since earning a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, I've focused mostly on fiction and poetry—my first loves. I've taught poetry in elementary and middle schools, fiction workshops in the community, and college writing courses. 

 

I'm originally from Colorado, now live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia, and travel to Chile—my husband's homeland—whenever I get the chance.
